Oklahoma State quarterback Drew Mestemaker absolutely torched Kansas State on Saturday, dropping a stat line so insane it hasn’t been seen in college football for three decades. This dude is totally rearranging the projected NFL Draft order, and the league better be ready.
UNBELIEVABLE: Mestemaker’s Historic Hat Trick
This dude Mestemaker went OFF in Oklahoma State’s 66-28 absolutely brutal stomping of Kansas State. Seriously, you gotta see this. He threw a touchdown pass, he rushed for another score, AND THEN, get this, he caught a touchdown pass. Yeah, you read that right. A full-on hat trick that nobody’s seen in 30 years from a Cowboys player, or really, anywhere in college football.
ESPN Insights dropped the bomb: Mestemaker is the *only* power conference player in the last three decades to pull off four passing touchdowns, a rushing touchdown, AND a receiving touchdown in a single road game. That receiving score, by the way, came when the game was already WAY out of reach in Manhattan, Kansas. We’re talking absolute domination. The OSU Cowboy Football account even posted about it on X, and it was live on TNT!
Beyond the Pocket: A New Era for OSU?
Coach Eric Morris clearly knows how to unleash this guy. Mestemaker isn’t just sitting in the pocket slinging it. He’s got that high-powered arm strength and efficient passing, sure, but he also makes huge plays with his feet. We’re talking a true dual-threat dynamo, a game-changer they snagged from the transfer portal.
And this isn’t some rinky-dink program we’re talking about. Oklahoma State has churned out serious talent before, like first-rounder Brandon Weeden and third-rounder Mason Rudolph. But Mestemaker, this North Texas QB transfer, is doing something different. He’s galvanizing a fanbase that’s been kinda restless under the longtime Mike Gundy regime. Now, thanks to him, Morris has the Cowboys bowl eligible for the first time since their 2023 Texas Bowl appearance. Seriously, Mestemaker is becoming the absolute toast of Stillwater, and for good reason.
What happens next for Mestemaker? This guy is completely rearranging the projected NFL Draft order, and he’s just getting started. If coach Morris keeps him unleashed like this, you know everyone in college football will be watching to see what other wild feats he can pull off.
