Alright, so ESPN just dropped the bomb on Friday evening: WNBA superstar and former Hawkeye standout, Caitlin Clark, is officially the celebrity guest picker for College GameDay in Iowa City this Saturday! You know it’s a huge deal when that crew rolls into town, and with Clark showing up, things are about to get absolutely bonkers.
Iowa City Is About To Explode For GameDay
Look, when Kirk Herbstreit, Pat McAfee, Desmond Howard, and Nick Saban are all setting up shop, you know the atmosphere is going to be electric. This weekend, they’re live from Iowa City, getting everyone hyped for the big matchup between Iowa and Ohio State. Every week, they pull in a celebrity guest tied to the home team, and seriously, was there ever any doubt who it had to be for Iowa? You gotta bring out the biggest star connected to the place, right?
Caitlin Clark’s Pick? Yeah, We Already Know!
It’s going to be an absolute scene. Caitlin Clark, who is just a phenomenon in the women’s game right now, will be at the desk making her picks. Now, we can probably all guess exactly which team Clark is going to go with, can’t we? Does a celebrity guest picker ever *not* pick the home team they are tied to? Exactly! Ohio State is favored pretty considerably in this game, but honestly, that probably won’t matter one bit to the mob that’s going to be surrounding that GameDay set, just buzzing to see Clark in the mix.
Get ready for an insane Saturday. The Buckeyes and Hawkeyes kick off at 3:30 p.m. ET, and you can catch all the action on CBS. But before that, make sure you’re tuned into GameDay to see the legend herself make her picks. It’s gonna be epic!
