Milan might just be pulling ahead in the race for Real Madrid phenom Endrick, and honestly, who saw this coming? Both Milan and Roma have been in on the attacker since the summer, circling like sharks, but now there are real signs the Rossoneri could be taking the lead. While Roma might get a chance to chat with Real Madrid when they meet in the Champions League later this month, La Gazzetta dello Sport is saying Milan has zero reason to sweat right now. Seriously, zero.
RedBird’s RocNation Connection Is the Real Deal
So, why the chill in Milan? It all comes down to Milan’s RedBird ownership. They’ve got a seriously good relationship with Endrick’s team at RocNation. We’re talking Gerry Cardinale himself being tight with the agency, and guess what? RocNation is the crew that’s going to make this transfer happen if it goes through. This isn’t some new handshake deal either. AC Milan and Roc Nation have been in a “unique partnership, driven by innovation, community, integrity, and inclusion” since way back in 2020, as their official announcement put it. When you’ve got that kind of established connection facilitating the move, it just hits different. That’s a huge, behind-the-scenes win for Milan that Roma can’t match.
Beyond the Handshakes: Club Ties and Urgent Needs
But wait, there’s more to why Milan looks so good here. These two clubs, Milan and Real Madrid, are just generally friendly. They’ve already ironed out a move for Brahim Diaz before, so there’s history there. If Los Blancos need a hand with Endrick’s development down the line, things could get super favorable for the Rossoneri. And here’s the kicker for Milan: they might be getting some bad news about Alexis Saelemaekers’ fitness pretty soon. That kind of injury news could light a fire under them to push even harder for a talent like Endrick.
So, while Roma and Real Madrid get ready to battle it out on the pitch in the Champions League, don’t think for a second that’s the only game in town. Milan’s playing chess, not checkers, and their behind-the-scenes moves could land them one of the hottest young talents in the game. Keep your eyes peeled, because this could be HUGE for the Rossoneri!
