The Argentine Football Association (AFA) has officially called up midfielder Pereyra, while the Paraguayan Football Association (APF) announced defender Barbosa’s selection to represent their countries in friendlies during this FIFA international window. These guys are stepping onto the international stage, and it’s going to be intense.
Pereyra’s Argentina Gauntlet
Get ready to see Pereyra in action, because Argentina has him playing two friendlies against Brazil, no less! First up is October 10th, a Saturday, in Porto Alegre at Beira-Rio Stadium, kicking off at 4:30 p.m. Brasília time. Then, just three days later on October 13th, another Saturday, they go at it again! This time it’s Argentina vs. Brazil in Recife at Arena Pernambuco, with an 8:30 p.m. Brasília time start. Two matchups against Brazil in less than a week? That’s a serious test for Pereyra and Argentina, and you know those games are going to be absolutely electric.
Barbosa Stepping Up for Paraguay
Not to be outdone, Barbosa is also suiting up for Paraguay, heading into two friendlies against El Salvador. His first match is October 9th, a Friday, against El Salvador at Estadio Cuscatlán in San Salvador, with a 10:30 p.m. Brasília time start. Then on October 12th, a Monday, he’ll be back on the field for another go against El Salvador, also in San Salvador. It’s a huge opportunity for Barbosa to shine and for Paraguay to build some momentum on the international circuit!
So mark your calendars! We’ve got Pereyra taking on Brazil twice and Barbosa leading Paraguay against El Salvador. These are some must-watch international friendlies coming up, and you know everyone will be tuning in to see how these guys perform for their national teams!
