Aurelien Tchouameni is locked in with Real Madrid until 2031, even if the club hasn’t officially said a word. An AS report spilled the beans today, confirming what many only speculated throughout the summer about the French midfielder’s future. It turns out Tchouameni extended his contract several months ago, keeping him tied to the Spanish giants for the next five seasons.
Under the Radar but Locked In
This isn’t just some rumor, folks. Reliable sources have confirmed this deal is signed, sealed, and just waiting for that official announcement. Remember all the noise this summer? Clubs like Manchester United and Liverpool were sniffing around, and that training ground bust-up with Federico Valverde last season definitely stoked some doubts about his long-term future at the Santiago Bernabeu. His previous deal was set to run until 2028, so adding three more years is a huge vote of confidence.
But here’s the kicker: despite the drama, Tchouameni himself never once considered leaving Real Madrid. He already had an agreement in place. The 26-year-old French international joined Los Blancos in the summer of 2022 from AS Monaco, brought in to be the long-term successor to club legend Casemiro. He’s had his moments, sure, but he’s consistently been a key player for every manager who has coached him there.
Real Madrid’s Midfield Blueprint
This quiet extension for Tchouameni screams one thing: Real Madrid is building for the future, and they trust their current midfield. The board has made a clear commitment to these players, securing Tchouameni’s future through 2031. And get this: the same AS report also dropped the news that Arda Guler has agreed to renew his contract for five more years, also until 2031! It’s like they’re doing all their big business in secret.
While they aren’t ruling out future additions to the midfield, the plan is crystal clear: lock down their current talent. The club intends to do the same with Jude Bellingham in the near future. With Tchouameni and Guler now secured, Real Madrid is piecing together a formidable midfield for years to come. This commitment signals their belief in the squad they’ve assembled, putting everyone on notice.
We’re just waiting for the formal announcement now. But with Tchouameni and Guler secure, and Bellingham likely next up, Real Madrid is building a powerhouse in the middle of the park. Get ready to watch this midfield grow together, because it’s going to be something special.
