The NFL world is absolutely buzzing right now because the Cardinals are actively working on a trade for star receiver Marvin Harrison Jr., and while the final destination is still under wraps, all signs point to one team: the Houston Texans.
Cardinals Playing Hardball Over Harrison Jr.’s Future
Yeah, you heard that right. Multiple sources are saying the Texans are the likely landing spot, but the Cardinals are playing this close to the vest. It feels like they’re trying to either drum up a better offer from some other team out there, or they’re just squeezing every last drop out of the Texans before sealing the deal. They’re keeping everyone guessing, which honestly, is classic trade strategy. But let’s be real, the cat’s already out of the bag on this one.
Stroud-Harrison Reunion Is Inches Away
Here’s where it gets wild: if this trade actually goes down, we’re talking about Marvin Harrison Jr. reuniting with quarterback C.J. Stroud. These two spent multiple years tearing it up together at Ohio State. Imagine that chemistry already built, ready to explode onto the NFL field! It’s a scary thought for opposing defenses. The package for Harrison Jr. is expected to include a second-round pick, and that’s where the hang-up is. The Texans have put a 2028 second-round pick on the table, but the Cardinals are pushing hard for a 2027 second-round pick. It’s a battle of future draft capital, and it’s what’s keeping this mega-deal from officially happening.
It feels inevitable that Harrison Jr. is getting traded. The only question now is whether the Cardinals get their preferred 2027 pick, or if the Texans stick to their 2028 offer. Unless some other squad swoops in last minute with a truly wild package, get ready for Marvin Harrison Jr. in Houston. You just know fans are already dreaming of what that duo can do.
