The Seattle Seahawks are officially the defending Super Bowl champions, and they just put another win on the board, a 30-23 grinder against the Los Angeles Chargers. Don’t let that final score mess with your head, 12s, because as the experts noted, Los Angeles piled up most of those points when our Hawks had already put the game out of reach, trailing a massive 27-6. That’s our team, doing what champs do.
The Chargers Got Cooked, Even If the Score Looks Close
Let’s be real, that Chargers team is a dumpster fire right now, sitting at 0-4 on the season. They looked lifeless for most of that game against our Hawks. Their quarterback, Justin Herbert, is having a rough go, throwing more interceptions (6) than touchdowns (4) this season, and he’s currently last in the entire NFL with a 70.6 passer rating. That’s what happens when you face a Super Bowl-winning defense. Plus, their offensive line is banged-up, giving up the second-highest pressure rate per dropback across the league. You know Coach Macdonald’s crew smells blood when they see that. Our boys showed why they’re the champs, building that big lead before L.A. could even think about getting back in it. That’s the kind of early season form that makes you feel good about this squad.
What This Means for Week 5 in the Emerald City
While we’re all still buzzing from that win, Week 5 is coming in hot with a classic NFC West showdown right here at home. The San Francisco 49ers are traveling to Lumen Field to take on their rival Seattle Seahawks. This 2026 NFL season has already had plenty of surprises across the league, with teams like the Houston Texans starting 0-4 and the Minnesota Vikings somehow perfect at 4-0 despite concerns on offense. But here in Seattle, we know what we’ve got: a championship team that knows how to close out games, even if the final stats try to tell you otherwise. We’ve seen our share of ups and downs, but the fact remains, our Hawks are the ones with the ring.
This Sunday at 4:05 p.m. ET, it’s a huge rivalry game in the Emerald City. Our Hawks get to defend their turf against the Niners. We’re looking to keep that early season momentum going and show everyone why those Super Bowl rings are on our players’ fingers. It’s going to be electric under the lights at Lumen, and our boys will be ready to prove their championship mettle once again.
