When Baylor School kicked off against Legacy High School on Friday night, 5-star running back David Gabriel Georges set the tone immediately, delivering a massive block that paved the way for an opening kickoff return touchdown. Seriously, go find the video. It was an absolute monster hit to kick off their 41-14 dominant win at home in Chattanooga, Tennessee.
That Block Wasn’t Even His Only Big Moment
Look, it’s one thing to be a 5-star recruit. It’s another to throw a block on the opening kickoff that helps spring a TD, showing that kind of unselfish, game-changing physicality. But Georges wasn’t done there. This dude absolutely showed out on offense too. He finished the game with 51 yards and two touchdowns on the ground, and get this, he did it all on just six attempts. That’s a ridiculous average and just screams efficiency. This kid is making every touch count, whether he’s bulldozing defenders with the ball or for his teammates.
Why He’s Got The Scouts Salivating
It’s no surprise that David Gabriel Georges has earned that 5-star status. According to 247Sports, he is the No. 9 overall player in the entire 2027 class, the No. 2 running back, and the undisputed No. 1 player out of the state of Tennessee. The rankings speak for themselves, but seeing a player like him make that kind of impact on a kickoff return just highlights the complete package. He committed to play his college ball at the University of Tennessee back in July, so get ready, Volunteers fans. This kid is coming, and he is bringing that game-changing physicality with him.
