Q Parker, from the iconic R&B group 112, just delivered a ‘silky smooth’ national anthem performance for Game 3 of the WNBA Finals in Atlanta. This wasn’t just any anthem, either. He rocked a sharp leather jacket and shades, perfectly setting the stage for what’s about to go down. Angel Reese and Gabby Williams are moments away from facing off, and you can feel the tension in the air as these teams look to grab a series lead.
The Vibe Is Set: Valkyries vs. Dream in Atlanta
The Golden State Valkyries and Atlanta Dream are locked in a battle right now, with this Game 3 in Atlanta being absolutely massive. Q Parker’s performance just upped the ante. He brought that classic R&B smoothness to the court, making sure everyone knew this wasn’t just another game. The building is buzzing, and with the series tied, every single possession is going to count. You’ve got to wonder if that anthem is going to get everyone hyped up even more for the fight ahead.
Anthem Drama, Series Tied: What’s Next?
This isn’t the first time the anthem has been a talking point in these Finals. Remember Alanis Morissette’s performance for Game 2? She got a loud ovation, and right after that, the Dream went out and tied the series. There’s also been some chatter about players choosing to leave the court during the anthem, but the WNBA policy is crystal clear: players are allowed to choose whether they participate. With all that in the background, Q Parker stepping up with his own distinct style just adds another layer to this Finals story. Now, with the anthem done, it’s all about Angel Reese and Gabby Williams taking the court. Game 3 is about to kick off, and one of these teams is walking away with the series lead. You don’t want to miss a second of this.
