Forget PFT’s Week 7 picks for a minute, because the only storyline that matters right now is Kenneth Walker III’s return to Seattle. Yeah, you read that right. Our guy, back in the Emerald City, but on the *other* side of the ball. Talk about a gut punch of a homecoming.
The Drama of a Familiar Face in the Wrong Uniform
This isn’t just another game. This is a former Hawk, a fan favorite, coming back to Lumen Field. We’ve seen it before, and it always hits different. The emotions are going to be through the roof for the 12s. You know our defense, led by coach Mike Macdonald, is gonna be ready, but seeing Walker line up against us? That’s gonna sting. It’s the kind of drama that makes Week 7 picks from some pundit feel completely insignificant. Who cares about some guy’s betting record when a legend is walking back onto our turf, but as the opposition? It’s intense, it’s personal, and it’s absolutely the biggest story heading into this weekend.
Picks and Pundits: Who Cares When There’s Real Football?
While everyone is rightfully buzzing about Walker’s return, Mike Florio over at PFT is out here talking about his weekly NFL picks. He’s apparently “flirting with a sub-.500 weekend” and was 7-7 last week, bringing his season record to 52-40-1. He even admitted he’s got “plenty of work to do” to hit his past success rate of 66.6 percent. Honestly, good for him and his picks, but for us Seattle faithful, that’s just background noise. We’re focused on what’s happening on the field here in our city.
This Week 7 matchup, with all its history and emotion, is the kind of game you live for as a fan. You know everyone will be glued to their screens, wondering how the Hawks handle seeing a former teammate in enemy colors. Get ready, Seattle, because this one is going to be wild.
