Christian McCaffrey, the San Francisco 49ers’ electric running back, is officially a father of two! He and his wife, Olivia Culpo, just welcomed their second child, a son named Roman Augustus McCaffrey, though they kept the exciting news under wraps for a bit.
Welcome to the World, Roman Augustus!
The McCaffrey family grew on September 29, 2026, when baby Roman Augustus made his grand entrance. McCaffrey, 30, and Culpo, 34, waited until October 11 to share the big reveal on Instagram. Olivia captioned their joint post “Roman Augustus McCaffrey 🤍 9/29/26,” giving us the full scoop. They dropped a carousel of sweet family photos from the hospital, showing off Olivia holding their newborn with Christian right there, beaming. Even their 14-month-old daughter, Colette Annalise, made a cameo, getting her first peek at her new baby brother. It’s awesome to see a superstar like McCaffrey celebrating such a personal moment.
Uncle Juice Is On Duty
The best part? 49ers fullback Kyle Juszczyk, a.k.a. “Uncle Juice,” isn’t just a teammate, he’s stepping into a super special role. Juszczyk was one of the first to comment on the birth announcement, proudly declaring, “Roman, it is an honor to be your God father. Love, Uncle Juice.” His wife, Kristin Juszczyk, chimed in too, adding, “We love you so much Rome,” with a red heart emoji. Talk about team chemistry extending beyond the field! Fans are already buzzing, with one joking Roman is “Heisman favorite for the year 2047,” while others just showered the family with love for the “Beautiful name and family.” Olivia first announced she was pregnant on her 34th birthday back in May, sharing family picnic photos with Christian, Colette, and their dog Oliver, alongside sonogram images. She captioned that announcement, “Best birthday gift ❤️ Baby #2 coming soon 🥹.”
What’s next for the McCaffrey crew? Probably a lot more sleepless nights and a whole lot of love. With Uncle Juice already on godfather duty, you know this kid is going to be surrounded by good people. It’s a huge moment for Christian off the field, adding another little one to his growing family. Get ready for more adorable family photos, because Roman Augustus has officially joined the squad.
