Okay, Hawks fans, let’s just get straight to it. That 17-14 final against the Denver Broncos? Yeah, that one stings. We battled hard, but a tight loss like that out in Denver always leaves you wondering “what if?”
The Fight Out in Denver
It was a grinder out there. Scoring only 14 points against the Broncos’ 17 tells you it was a defensive slugfest or just a tough day moving the ball. When you’re losing by a field goal, every play feels magnified. Mike Macdonald’s squad fought, no doubt, but the scoreboard doesn’t lie. We needed those extra points, especially when every win counts in this league.
What Else is Poppin’ Around the League
While we’re all still digesting that Hawks game, the rest of the league keeps rolling. This Sunday’s got a few games lined up. Nationally, everyone can catch the Texans vs. Jaguars showdown kicking off Sunday morning all the way from London on NFL Network. Then, Sunday night brings the Cowboys at Packers on NBC, followed by the Commanders and 49ers battling it out Monday night on ESPN and ABC. For those of you in New York, New England, or down in Miami and West Palm Beach, you’ll specifically catch the Jets at Patriots at 1:00 pm Eastern on CBS, with Spero Dedes and Adam Archuleta on the call. If you’re looking to stream any of these, remember Paramount+ and NFL+ are options if the game’s airing locally for you, otherwise NFL Sunday Ticket through YouTube and YouTubeTV has you covered, but you’ll need subscriptions for all of ’em. You can always hit up 506sports.com to check your local broadcast maps.
It’s a tough pill to swallow when our Hawks drop a close one like that. But hey, it’s a long season, right? We gotta keep our eyes on the prize and support the squad. Let’s see how our boys respond. C’mon, Hawks!
