Cornerstone Christian School, a private school out of San Antonio, has absolutely blown past the local competition and carved out a name for itself as a legitimate producer of elite college football recruits. Seriously, this isn’t your average Friday night lights story, this is a national player.
The National Football Powerhouse Operating Like a College Program
This school’s not just chilling in the Alamo City, the Warriors football team is hitting the road hard. They’re traveling to Florida, Washington, D.C., Louisiana, and all over Texas, squaring up against some of the best teams in the entire country. Why? To prove they belong, plain and simple. As of Wednesday, October 14, they’re sitting pretty at 5-2 for the season and MaxPreps has them ranked No. 1 in San Antonio.
Clayton Guillory, their Head of Football Operations, laid it out for MySA: “I believe Cornerstone Christian has become a platform where our youth can challenge themselves against the best talent across the country. Not just competing with local programs, but great experiences against the best teams in Texas and the U.S.” That’s the mindset! He even said, “We are building a culture very similar to how college football programs operate. More one-on-one development and attention to detail that sometimes can be overlooked when there are a large number of athletes to work with. Our numbers are smaller, but the reps help player development with a high emphasis on accountability on and off the field.” Since 2019, 16 football players from Cornerstone have gone on to play in college, according to their athlete alumni page. This isn’t just talk, it’s results.
