The 2026-27 NBA season is officially underway, already kicking off with a trio of exciting games on Tuesday. Tonight, the Golden State Warriors are finally starting their campaign when they take on the Los Angeles Lakers. While Warriors fans are locked in on their own squad, there are a bunch of other players around the NBA we should all be keeping an eye on.
Kuminga’s New Spot in the Twin Cities
Let’s be real, the Warriors and Jonathan Kuminga tried for years to make that pairing work, and it just never clicked. Honestly, I don’t think anyone is really to blame there. But hold up, Thompson is with the Miami Heat now, and he’s reunited with Andrew Wiggins! Things are absolutely primed to go better this time around. Yeah, Klay had a rough preseason, we saw it. But an Erik Spoelstra-coached team starring Giannis Antetokounmpo and Bam Adebayo? That’s gotta play right into Klay’s strengths, giving him a real shot to compete for a deep postseason run. And come on, South Beach just seems way more on Klay’s wavelength than inland Texas ever was. I’m still holding out hope Thompson eventually makes his way back to the Bay, but for now, it’s just going to be fun to see if he can totally resuscitate his career with the Heat. As long as we’re talking about forme
