The NBA’s all-time leading scorer, LeBron James, just pulled back the curtain on his golf bag in a new social media video, revealing a collection that included some pretty telling items. Among the clubs, he showed off a goat driver head cover, an Ohio State-themed divot repair tool, and a rangefinder. It is clear James is taking this new hobby seriously.
What’s In The Bag?
You gotta hand it to the man, he knows how to keep people talking. Revealing the contents of his golf bag on Tuesday, James made sure to highlight a few standout pieces. That goat driver head cover? Yeah, that is something that is going to get people chatting, and for good reason. It is a bold statement, but then again, it is LeBron James. He also rocked an Ohio State-themed divot repair tool, showing love for his home state, and, of course, a rangefinder, because you gotta know your distances.
A New Chapter on the Course and Court
This peek into his golf gear comes as James is beginning his first season with the Philadelphia 76ers. He has developed a real affinity for golf in recent years, a hobby he picked up after hitting the big 4-0. Through six appearances with the 76ers, James is averaging 16.2 points, 7.3 assists, 7.0 rebounds, and 1.5 steals per game, shooting 45.1 percent from the field. It is a solid start for a guy still dominating the court even as he finds new passions off it.
It is wild to think about LeBron, the greatest scorer ever, just picking up golf at 40 and then flashing that GOAT head cover. You know what that tells me? The man is still confident, still striving for greatness in everything he does. We will be watching to see if his game on the links matches his legendary status on the hardwood as he continues his season with the 76ers.
