Manchester City is trying to keep their Premier League record absolutely spotless to kick off the 2026-27 season this Saturday, hosting newly-promoted Ipswich Town at the Etihad. Even with a tough 4-2 midweek loss against defending European champs PSG in the Champions League on Wednesday, their domestic form is still completely unblemished. It’s been a wild start, especially after that dominant 3-0 win over Liverpool last weekend right after the international break.
Pep’s Squad Laughing Off the Charges?
Look, the “114 charges” are still hanging over the club like a dark cloud, right? But honestly, their performances on the field? They’ve barely been touched. This squad is just chugging along, winning games and staying perfect in the Premier League. It really makes you wonder if anything can slow them down domestically. They’re playing Ipswich Town, a newly promoted side, so you know the pressure is on Man City to deliver another big performance and keep that perfect league record alive.
