The Houston Texans are absolutely ELECTRIC right now, not just because they finally snagged their first win of the season, but because their blockbuster trade for Marvin Harrison Jr. just got real: Coach DeMeco Ryans officially confirmed MHJ WILL play this Sunday against the Jacksonville Jaguars in London! It’s been a tough start to the regular season, bordering on franchise infamy not long ago, but after that first W and this absolute game-changer, the Texans are red HOT again! You best believe I’m hyped to see MHJ in Steel Blue!
Stroud Gets His Guy Back, Like, NOW!
Can you believe it? C.J. Stroud gets his college target back on the field, like, immediately! Harrison joined up from the Arizona Cardinals and jumped straight into grinding the playbook late-night with assistant WR coach Tyron Carrier. Coach DeMeco says his work ethic made the transition seamless at practice. We’re talking instant chemistry with Stroud, people! Now, I know the Texans fanbase is split on this trade. Some are totally in love and think this launches us back into contention, while others are grumbling about 2027 draft capital and other “pressing issues.” But honestly? I might still be on the fence about the decision overall, but for right now, I am ALL IN on Marvin Harrison Jr.
Injuries? What Injuries? We’re Getting Stronger!
And listen, the good news just keeps rolling! We got an encouraging injury report on Wednesday. S Ja’Marcus Ingram and LB Henry To’oTo’o are back to limited participation, and our man WR Tank Dell is FULL! He may be nearing a return to the field for the first time in nearly two years, imagine that! S M.J. Stewart and RT Braden Smith also returned to practice last week. We’re still missing some key pieces, yeah, RB David Montgomery and S Jalen Pitre are out, but getting this extra roster depth on the flight into the United Kingdom on Thursday is absolutely massive. We’re significantly closer to full strength for this Week 6 game.
London Showdown: Underdogs Ready to Shock the Jags
So, it’s Wembley Stadium, 8:30 AM CST Sunday morning against the Jags. They’ve had an excellent start to the regular season, so naturally, we’re 2.5-point underdogs on FanDuel. But honestly, those odds paint a pretty favorable picture for Houston, right? The bookies are expecting this game to be a close one, and if any of our several returning players can contribute right away, pulling an upset in the Jaguars’ “home away from home” in London is totally on the table! FanDuel might think our first drive ends in a punt, but I’m placing my bets differently: Marvin Harrison Jr. is gonna have NOT ONE, but TWO touchdown receptions! You heard it here first!
This Sunday, all eyes are on London. Can we keep this momentum going, get a huge upset win against a division rival, and watch MHJ light it up with Stroud? I’ll be glued to every single play as we fight to show everyone what this team is truly capable of.
