Christian McCaffrey and his wife, Olivia Culpo, announced the arrival of their son, Roman Augustus McCaffrey, on Saturday, born back on September 29. Great for them, sure, but what really matters to the Emerald City faithful is McCaffrey’s upcoming date with our defending champion Seattle Seahawks this Sunday.
More Than One Reason to Celebrate (Off The Field)
McCaffrey and Culpo shared photos on Instagram of Roman Augustus, who is actually their second child. Remember their daughter, Colette, arrived last year. The couple has been together since 2019 and tied the knot in 2024. So yeah, big family stuff happening for him. It’s a busy time, no doubt, but that off-field joy is about to collide with a very different kind of reality on the gridiron.
But On The Field? He’s Still a Niner, And Our Champs Are Waiting.
Look, the guy’s been putting up numbers this fall. Through four games, McCaffrey has notched 218 rushing yards and four touchdowns. He’s also grabbed 16 receptions for 122 yards through the air. His 49ers are sitting pretty at 4-0 right now, fresh off a win against the Denver Broncos. But let’s be real, those numbers are about to get a serious test. This Sunday, the 49ers roll into town, and who do they get to face? None other than YOUR defending champion Seattle Seahawks. Yeah, *our* Seahawks, the reigning champs. McCaffrey can celebrate all he wants, but Sunday is about football, and we know exactly what’s at stake.
It’s going to be a battle, no doubt. The 49ers might be undefeated, but they haven’t faced a defense like ours yet this season. The Lumen Field crowd will be absolutely buzzing, ready to remind them, and McCaffrey, who the defending champions are. Get ready for Sunday, 12s, it’s gonna be a good one!
