That 34-17 beatdown the Chicago Bears handed the Seahawks? Yeah, that stung. But get this: Sam Darnold’s rest-of-season trade value just landed, and it’s sitting at a brutal 1 point according to Justin Boone’s latest Week 9 fantasy football charts.
Darnold’s Value Rings the Alarm
A 1-point value in the 1QB league format puts our starting quarterback in some seriously rough company. Darnold is ranked 21st overall, sharing that rock-bottom 1-point valuation with guys like Michael Penix Jr. and Aaron Rodgers. When you compare that to a rookie like Drake Maye up at 37 points, or even Bryce Young at 8 points, it’s a tough look. His 2QB value isn’t much better at 28, but that 1QB score just screams for answers, especially after a game like we just witnessed.
The Aftermath of a Rough Week 9
It’s hard to separate these numbers from the on-field performance, isn’t it? The Hawks just got handed a 34-17 loss by the Bears, and seeing Darnold’s value come out so low right after that is just a double punch to the gut for us 12s. This isn’t just some fantasy stat, it’s a reflection of how things are being viewed right now. The team, coached by Mike Macdonald and offensive coordinator Brian Fleury, has got to regroup and fast. We’ve got Jaxon Smith-Njigba, Rashid Shaheed, and Cooper Kupp out there, but you can’t have your quarterback’s value hovering at the bottom if you’re going to compete.
The Hawks need to turn this around. This city, these fans, we expect more. We’ll be watching closely to see how they respond after this gut-check moment.
