Crown Jewel 2026 is going down this Saturday, November 7, in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and if you thought the Roman Reigns vs. Sami Zayn matchup was just a rerun, you’re missing the entire story. The third annual Crown Jewel will crown its champions, and this year, the stakes for Reigns and Zayn are completely different than anything we’ve seen before.
The Bloodline’s Past Haunts Roman Reigns as Sami Zayn Rises
Remember 2023? Zayn, the ultimate underdog in his hometown of Montreal, pushed Reigns to the absolute limit in an undisputed WWE universal championship match. The Bloodline, with both of them involved, felt more important than ever. Now, more than three years later, these two are expected to meet again, but with a massive twist: Zayn is no longer the underdog trying to usurp “The Tribal Chief.” He enters this match with his *own* world title, making him Reigns’ equal for the Crown Jewel Championship. He locked in this chance for vengeance after successfully defending his undisputed WWE title against both Je’Von Evans and Trick Williams just last week. Talk about earning your shot! Zayn is expected to get a hero’s welcome in Riyadh, and you’ve got to wonder if this “deja vu” for Reigns is a good thing for him, or if Zayn, now an equal, has his number this time.
History on the Line For Liv Morgan, Vengeance for Cody Rhodes
The women’s Crown Jewel Championship match is also loaded with history. Liv Morgan, one of the world champions seeking glory, can etch her name in the record books by becoming the *only* Crown Jewel champion, man or woman, to win twice. So far, four champions have been crowned , two men and two women , and nobody has pulled off a repeat. Morgan’s opponent? Chelsea Green, who had to beat Nikki Bella to guarantee her spot at Crown Jewel. This is a massive opportunity for Morgan to truly stand alone.
But wait, there’s more! We’re finally going to see the end of the absolutely brutal, long-running feud between Cody Rhodes and Randy Orton. These two have been at each other’s throats off and on since WrestleMania season in April, when Orton delivered a vicious punt to Rhodes at the conclusion of their match. They were once pupil and mentor in The Legacy, even headlining WrestleMania, but now they are looking to settle their differences in a Last Man Standing match. You know that one is going to be pure chaos!
New Champs, New Angles, All The Action
Beyond the championship clashes and grudge matches, we’ve got another title fight going down. The Vision, made up of Bron Breakker and Austin Theory, will make their first defense of the tag team titles. They’re taking on Penta and Je’Von Evans. And don’t sleep on Penta here, because he holds the Money in the Bank briefcase, and that alone could add an interesting angle to the main event later in the night. This is the third annual Crown Jewel champions event, a true battle of Raw and SmackDown’s best.
With history on the line for Liv Morgan, a redemption story potentially unfolding for Sami Zayn, and Cody Rhodes and Randy Orton finally putting an end to their vicious feud, this Saturday is going to be absolutely wild. You can catch all the action live on ESPN Unlimited, with the main card kicking off at 12 p.m. ET. Do not miss it!
