The Kansas City Chiefs thought they could roll into Lumen Field and walk all over us, but our Seattle Seahawks had other plans, delivering an absolute clinic with a dominant 20-3 victory! And that wasn’t the only move today, with our Hawks also making a smart play on the trade market.
Our Hawks Owned the Field in Week 8
Talk about a statement game! Our defense was an absolute brick wall, holding the Chiefs to a paltry 3 points. That’s the kind of suffocating performance we love to see, proving once again that Lumen Field is a fortress for the 12s. This 20-3 win against a powerhouse team like the Chiefs in Week 8 sends a clear message across the league: the Seahawks are for real.
Front Office Flexes With Mid-Season Move
As if a huge win wasn’t enough, the front office was also busy, reportedly trading for an offensive lineman from the Colts. It’s always great to see the team proactively shoring up the roster, especially as the season heats up. You know they’re always looking for ways to improve, keep the depth strong, and ensure our guys are protected.
Jerry Jones Dropped a Bombshell on the League
Shifting gears a bit, but still big NFL news: Cowboys owner Jerry Jones is making waves across the league with his latest comments. He just straight-up told 105.3 The Fan that he “could and would” hire legendary quarterback Troy Aikman for a front office position, calling it “that simple.” Jones absolutely gushed about Aikman, pointing to his “basic command and understanding and knowledge of NFL football.” He even said Aikman is “outstanding at what he focuses on right now, and that’s giving the story, the narration of the football games of all teams.” The timing is wild too, because Aikman’s current ESPN contract runs out at the end of the 2026 NFL season, making him a “free agent.” Could Aikman really be heading back to a team role?
So, from a massive 20-3 victory over the Chiefs and a key trade to the kind of league-wide chatter that only Jerry Jones can stir up, today was a wild one in the NFL, especially for the 12s. Our Seahawks are proving they’re a force to be reckoned with this season, and every game feels like it brings us closer to something special. Keep that energy high, Seattle, because this is just getting good!
