The Seattle Reign just took a gut punch at Lumen Field this past weekend, falling to the NC Courage in a devastating loss that’s already making their fight for playoff qualification a whole lot tougher.
What Went Wrong, And Our Beacon Of Hope
Seriously, what even happened out there? The team showed a real lack of quality in that game, and honestly, it felt pretty dark. We saw the squad struggle, and that kind of performance just isn’t going to cut it when you’re battling for a playoff spot.
But here’s the thing, through all that gloom, Sam Meza continues to be a light in dark times. She keeps shining through, even when things are looking rough for the squad, giving us something to hold onto.
The good news? We’ve got an international break coming up, and everyone around the Emerald City is hoping the team can use that time to regroup. They gotta turn things around, and fast, if they want to keep that playoff dream alive.
