The undefeated San Francisco 49ers are back in action tonight for Monday Night Football, but for us here in the Emerald City, there’s only one score that still burns from their last game: 32-29 against our Seattle Seahawks in Week 5. Tonight, the Niners get to keep trying to prove they’re the real deal.
Niners Look to Extend Their Streak Against the Commanders
Tonight’s matchup pits those same 49ers, who are sitting pretty at a perfect 5-0, against the Washington Commanders. The Commanders, on the other hand, are struggling at 1-3-1, fresh off a 27-27 tie against the New York Giants. This Week 6 showdown goes down at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California, the 49ers’ home turf. Kickoff is set for 5:15 p.m. PT. You can bet everyone will be watching to see if the Commanders can pull off a miracle, especially after our Hawks pushed the Niners to the absolute limit just last week.
Where to Catch Tonight’s Showdown
If you’re like me and need to see every single snap, you’ve got options. Tonight’s Commanders-49ers game will air nationally on ESPN and ABC. If you’re a streamer, you can catch it live through Fubo or the ESPN app, which carry both channels. Joe Buck will handle the play-by-play, with Troy Aikman joining him as the analyst. This is the only NFL game scheduled for Monday, October 19, so it’s the perfect way to wrap up Week 6 before we dive headfirst into Week 7. For the 49ers, it’s about staying perfect. For us, it’s a chance to scout a division rival and maybe, just maybe, see them finally stumble.
