The White Sox finally did it, man. After making the playoffs three times since their 2005 World Series title and never, EVER winning a single series, they just took down the Astros in this year’s Wild Card round. That curse is GONE. Now, they’re heading into an ALDS showdown against the Cleveland Guardians, and trust me, this is the series to watch as one franchise will take control of its destiny.
Cleveland’s Quest vs. Chicago’s New Chapter
Look, we all know Cleveland. They are always SO close to success, but it just never quite clicks, right? They’ve made the playoffs three of the past four seasons, which is solid, but they just haven’t found their rhythm in those runs. They’re due for a breakthrough, no doubt. They’re coming in with something to prove.
But then you have Chicago, fresh off that massive Wild Card win. That victory over the Astros wasn’t just a game, it was them finally snapping a long streak of not winning a playoff series. Since their World Series title back in 2005, they made the playoffs three times, and each time they just couldn’t seal the deal in a series. That changes NOW. They are riding a wave of momentum that could carry them all the way. Who isn’t hyped to see what this new Chicago team can do?
